How To Make Cannabutter

Decarb Your Chosen Flower
Pre-heat your oven to about to 245ºF.and then place the flower buds on a nonstick oven-safe tray. Older cannabis might even require less time.
The next step is to grind the decarboxylated cannabis very coarsely. You can use a hand grinder for this job.
The next step is to melt the butter. Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of butter in a pan of your choice. Simmer it on very low heat and let the butter melt in its own time. The water will help you regulate the temperature and prevent your butter from being burnt.
Once you see that the butter has begun to melt, you can add in your coarsely ground cannabis to the foray.
Now is the slightly technical part, where you need to be extremely vigilant about your cannabutter.. You need to maintain the low heat and let the butter, water, and cannabis mixture simmer for about 2 to 3 hours while you keep stirring it occasionally. At no point should your mixture reach a full boil.
Once you take the cannabis off the heat, all you need to is pour it through a cheesecloth as that will help strain out any bad-tasting plant material. Do not squeeze the cheesecloth once you strain as the plant material may end up in your butter.
Time For the Edibles
Now even though you would have a fair idea of the potency of your butter, it is still advisable to be careful about how much you eat it. There are plenty of factors that can change the potency from the strain used to the cooking time to even how hot your oven and pan was start by using about ¼ to ½ a teaspoon initially and then increase the potency as you move along. You can then even create a standard dose for your recipe.
